Overview

At Iqra National University, we believe in fostering academic excellence and providing equal opportunities for all deserving students to pursue their educational aspirations. Our scholarship policy is designed to recognise and support students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service — removing financial barriers so that talented individuals can access quality education without undue financial burden.

Our scholarships span merit-based awards for outstanding academic performance, need-based support for students facing financial constraints, and special scholarships for those excelling in specific fields or demonstrating extraordinary talent. The policy is guided by transparency, fairness and inclusivity, with an application process accessible to all eligible candidates and selection criteria that are objective and merit-based.

Eligibility & Rules

These conditions apply across every scholarship programme at the University.

  1. 1Scholarships are awarded on a merit and need basis.
  2. 2Candidates already receiving any other HEC or Government scholarship are not eligible to apply.
  3. 3Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of CGPA and academic credential scores.
  4. 4Only one sibling per family may avail a scholarship.
  5. 5Students may not change discipline or programme while holding a scholarship.
  6. 6Scholarship holders must still pay the affiliating institution's affiliation fee, examination fee, fines, mid-term examination fee, and re-admission fee (if struck off the roll).
  7. 7Scholarships cover tuition fee only.
  8. 8A scholarship is withdrawn if the student is struck off the roll due to attendance shortage.
  9. 9Available seats per discipline/programme are decided by the Directorate of Scholarships.
  10. 10Scholarships run from the first semester to the final semester of the degree.
  11. 11The applicant must hold a domicile of Pakistan or Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
  12. 12The applicant must have completed 12 years of education with 60% marks in the intermediate examination.
  13. 13The applicant must have obtained the required academic qualification on or before the scholarship application closing date.
  14. 14Recipients must maintain 75% attendance and a 3.8 GPA, with no referral or supply paper in any semester.

General Provisions

  • All scholarship programmes are subject to available funding and may be modified or terminated at the university's discretion.
  • Scholarships may be combined with other forms of financial aid, but the total amount awarded shall not exceed the cost of attendance.
  • Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and adhere to university policies and codes of conduct.
  • The university reserves the right to amend this policy and its criteria as needed, with due notice to affected parties.
